Miles Overview
The LS 400 is Lexus's original flagship sedan, built to take on the Mercedes S-Class and BMW 7 Series with a quieter, more reliable approach. The ride is famously smooth and isolated, making long highway trips feel effortless, though the steering is light and numb. Inside, the cabin is hushed and beautifully built, with soft leather, real wood trim, and seats that stay comfortable for hours. Owners routinely report these cars running past 200,000 miles with basic maintenance, which is why so many are still on the road. The 400 is the only LS 400 trim for 1998, so you get the full flagship treatment without worrying about missing out on a higher model.
