Miles Overview
The GS 300 is Lexus's answer to the BMW 5 Series and Mercedes E-Class, offering a more understated take on the sport sedan formula. It's not a scalpel like the BMW, but the GS rides with a planted composure that makes daily driving genuinely pleasant. Inside you get a calm, wood-trimmed cabin that feels like a smaller LS 400, with front seats that hold you well on longer trips. Budget for timing belt service around 90,000 miles and the occasional control-arm bushing, but the drivetrain is famously durable. The GS 300 is the base model in the lineup, under the V8-powered GS 400, and it gives you a lighter nose and slightly better fuel economy around town. The 3.0L I6 makes 225 horsepower and pairs with the five-speed automatic, sending power to the rear wheels.
