Miles Overview
The 4Runner is Toyota's rugged mid-size SUV, the one you see still on trails decades later. It drives with a solid, truck-like feel that makes you confident on rough roads, though it's not sporty on pavement. Fold the rear seats and there's room for a massage table or two bikes, plus handy side compartments in the cargo area. Owners praise its reliability, with many reporting 200,000-plus miles on basic maintenance alone. The SR5 is the middle trim between the base and the plusher Limited, offering a good balance of utility and affordability. Its 3.4L V6 makes 183 horsepower and works with five-speed automatic and four-wheel drive, giving you solid low-end grunt for crawling over rocks or powering up a grade. The SR5's ride is noticeably firm on pavement, which is the trade-off for the body-on-frame toughness that keeps it composed off-road.
