Miles Overview
The second-generation MR2 is Toyota's mid-engine two-seat sports car, a lightweight rear-drive coupe that feels like nothing else from the 1990s. The steering is quick and talkative, and the chassis is balanced enough that you can adjust your line with the throttle. The cabin is snug and driver-focused, with low seating and a wide center console that wraps around you. The MR2 is known for its snap-oversteer tendency in the hands of an inexperienced driver, especially with the stock suspension. The 2.0L I4 pairs with a manual transmission and rear-wheel drive, giving you quick throttle response and a lively rear end. The extra power makes that snap-oversteer tendency more immediate, so it rewards a smooth right foot.
