Miles Overview
The G35 is Infiniti's sporty compact, offered as a sedan or a sleek coupe, and it competes with the BMW 3 Series and Acura TSX. It's genuinely fun to drive, with quick steering and a rear-drive balance that makes it feel eager through corners, though the ride is on the firm side. Inside, the cabin feels upscale for the era, with comfortable seats and a spacious trunk for the sedan, though the coupe's rear seats are tight for taller passengers. Owners praise the styling and driving character, but expect some electrical gremlins like window motors and sunroofs that can act up as the car ages. The four-door sedan body style sets this G35 apart from the two-door coupe, offering extra space and easier access for rear passengers. A 3.5L V6 sends 260 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque through a five-speed automatic to the rear-wheel drive, giving it punchy acceleration and a rear-drive feel that rewards a steady right foot. An optional sport-tuned suspension firms up the ride further but sharpens turn-in response noticeably through fast corners.
