Miles Overview
The CX-9 is Mazda's three-row family SUV, a roomier alternative to the RAV4 and CR-V for those who need to carry seven. It drives with the same eager, responsive feel as Mazda's smaller cars, so it never feels like a chore behind the wheel. The cabin is a genuinely nice place to spend time, with comfortable seats, a clear backup camera, and easy-to-use tech. The third row is tight for adults but fine for kids, and the rear window wiper and folding seats add everyday usefulness. The Touring skips the Grand Touring's premium audio and navigation, but adds leather upholstery and a power driver's seat over the Sport for a reasonable step up in price. Its 3.7L V6 makes 273 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque, routed through a six-speed automatic to all-wheel drive, which gives it confident traction in rain or snow at the cost of 18 mpg combined.
