Miles Overview
The CX-9 is Mazda's three-row family SUV, sized to carry seven when you need the extra seats. It drives with a car-like feel, and owners say it accelerates quickly and responds well. The third row is genuinely usable for adults on shorter trips, and the rear window wiper is handy in bad weather. Some owners mention the microfiber seat fabric can be hard to keep clean, and the paint may show scratches more easily. The Touring adds a power driver's seat, leather-wrapped wheel, and automatic climate control over the Sport, while skipping the Grand Touring's premium audio and heated mirrors. Its 3.7L V6 makes 273 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque, routed through a six-speed automatic to front-wheel drive, and it returns 19 mpg combined. Only the Touring and Grand Touring offer a blind-spot monitoring system, a helpful extra for a three-row SUV this size.
