Miles Overview
The 2022 CX-5 is Mazda's compact SUV, slotting between the smaller CX-30 and the three-row CX-9. It competes with the Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV4, and Subaru Forester, but aims for a more premium feel. The CX-5 is known for its sharp steering and composed handling, making it one of the more engaging compact SUVs to drive. Inside, the cabin is upscale with quality materials, but rear legroom and cargo space are tighter than some rivals. Standard safety tech includes blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control. The S Premium Plus Package adds a power moonroof, heated steering wheel, and a 10-speaker Bose audio system over the Premium trim. Its 2.5L I4 makes 187 horsepower and pairs with a smooth automatic transmission and all-wheel drive, delivering confident all-weather traction. This trim also includes a 360-degree camera system, making parking and tight maneuvers easier.
