Miles Overview
The 2022 CX-5 is Mazda's compact SUV, slotting between the smaller CX-30 and the three-row CX-9. It competes with the Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV4, and Subaru Forester, but aims for a more premium feel. The CX-5 is known for its sharp steering and composed handling, making it one of the more engaging compact SUVs to drive. Inside, the cabin is upscale with quality materials, but rear legroom and cargo space are tighter than some rivals. Standard safety tech includes blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control. Black wheels, a dark grille, and red leather seats distinguish the Carbon Edition from the rest of the CX-5 lineup. The 2.5L I4 pairs with automatic transmission and all-wheel drive, giving you confident traction in rain or light snow. It rides on 19-inch black alloy wheels and adds a power moonroof, which the lower trims skip.
