Miles Overview
The CX-5 is Mazda's compact SUV, the one that made small crossovers feel genuinely fun to drive. It steers crisply and stays flat through corners, so it feels more like a sporty hatchback than a tall SUV. The back seat is snug for tall passengers, but fold it down and there's room for a bike or a full load of camping gear. Owners love the secure all-weather grip and the way it shrugs off heavy snow without drama. The Sport is the one to pick if you want all-weather capability without stepping up to the Touring; you get the same 2.5L engine and AWD for less money. Its 2.5L I4 makes 184 horsepower and pairs with a six-speed automatic and all-wheel drive, so it pulls eagerly onto highways and tracks straight through rain or snow at 26 mpg combined.
