Miles Overview
The 2002 MX-5 Miata is the classic two-seat roadster, the one that started the modern affordable sports car craze. It's a joy to drive, with a perfect balance and a gearbox that feels like it was made just for you. The ride is on the firm side, which is the trade for how flat it stays through corners. You sit low, the cabin is snug, and the cloth top is easy to drop for open-air fun. The base trim keeps things pure with the same lightweight body and suspension as the more expensive versions, just without the extra convenience gear. The 1.8L I4 makes 128 horsepower and teams with the five-speed automatic, so it's smoother in traffic but a little less engaging than the standard five-speed stick.
