Miles Overview
The Mazda3 is Mazda's compact car, offered as a sedan or a more practical hatchback, and it's the one you cross-shop with the Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla. It's one of the most engaging cars in its class, with sharp steering and a chassis that feels eager through corners. The ride is on the firm side, which is the trade for how well it handles, but it stays composed on most roads. Inside, the cabin feels more upscale than the price suggests, with quality materials and a clean, driver-focused layout. Its 2.5L I4 makes 186 horsepower and pairs with a six-speed automatic, which gives it eager acceleration around town and 30 mpg combined on regular fuel. This trim comes as a hatchback only, so you get the extra cargo versatility that the sedan versions of higher trims don't offer.
