Miles Overview
The Mazda3 is Mazda's compact car, offered as a sedan or hatchback, and it goes up against the Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla. It's one of the most fun-to-drive cars in its class, with sharp steering and a willing chassis that makes everyday commutes feel engaging. The cabin feels upscale for the price, with quality materials and a clean layout, though rear legroom is tight for taller passengers. Some owners note that road noise is noticeable on the highway, and the low-profile tires on larger wheels can be prone to damage from potholes. The Grand Touring is the top trim, so you get the bigger engine and leather seats that the Touring 2.5 doesn't have, but you're paying a premium for those upgrades. Its 2.5L I4 makes 184 horsepower and 185 lb-ft of torque, paired with the six-speed automatic and front-wheel drive, which gives it a lively feel off the line and around town while still returning 30 mpg combined. The Grand Touring adds standard LED headlights and a head-up display, which are features you won't find on the lower trims.
