Miles Overview
It's not quick, but the Insight handles nimbly and feels stable, making it a pleasant commuter if you don't need much passing power. The hatchback body gives you a surprising amount of cargo space, especially with the rear seats folded, though the back seat is snug for taller passengers. Owners report strong reliability, with many going years without any issues beyond routine maintenance. Moving up to the EX adds features like cruise control, a security system, and a 160-watt audio system with CD and MP3 playback, plus steering-wheel-mounted controls. The hybrid powertrain pairs a 1.3L I4 hybrid with an electric motor for 98 horsepower and 123 lb-ft of torque, routed through a CVT to front-wheel drive, and returns 41 mpg combined. The EX also includes a multi-information display that coaches your driving efficiency, showing real-time and average fuel economy.
