Miles Overview
The 2012 Fit is Honda's subcompact hatchback, a car that prioritizes practicality and efficiency over flash. It's nimble around town and easy to park, though the ride is on the firm side and you'll feel most road imperfections. The Magic Seat folds flat or flips up to handle tall items, and the hatchback swallows surprising amounts of cargo for its size. Owners report low running costs and few problems beyond routine maintenance like oil changes. The Base is the entry-level Fit, giving up the Sport's alloy wheels and upgraded audio but keeping the same practical hatchback body and Magic Seat versatility. Its 1.5L I4 makes 117 horsepower and pairs with a five-speed automatic, returning an EPA-rated 31 mpg combined in mixed driving.
