Miles Overview
The 2023 Civic Type R is Honda's hot hatchback, the one that takes the regular Civic's goodness and turns it up to eleven. It's a track-ready car that still works on the street, with a sharp-shifting manual and a chassis that loves a back road. The ride is firm, but that's the trade for how flat it stays through corners and how much confidence it gives you. Despite the big wing and aggressive looks, it's still a Civic hatchback, so you get a roomy cabin and a useful cargo area. The Touring is the sole Civic Type R trim, so you get the full experience: the big wing, the triple exhaust tips, and the red interior accents. Its 2.0L I4 makes 315 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque, all sent to the front wheels through a six-speed manual that rewards deliberate shifts. The adaptive dampers let you switch between a comfortable daily mode and a firm track setting with the twist of a knob.
