Miles Overview
The 2012 CR-V is a compact SUV that slots below the Pilot in Honda's lineup, offering a roomy five-passenger cabin and a choice of front- or all-wheel drive. It competes with the Toyota RAV4, Ford Escape, and Subaru Forester, standing out for its clever packaging and smooth powertrain. The steering is light and precise, making the CR-V feel nimble in town, though the engine can get vocal when pushed hard. Inside, the cabin is spacious and versatile, with a low load floor and a rear seat that folds nearly flat for hauling gear. Honda's reputation for reliability carries over here, with many owners reporting trouble-free miles and only routine maintenance. Leather upholstery and a power driver's seat set the EX-L apart from the EX below it. The 2.4L I4 makes 185 horsepower and works with a five-speed automatic, getting 26 mpg combined on regular fuel. A moonroof and dual-zone automatic climate control come standard on this trim, adding comfort without extra cost.
