Miles Overview
The RSX is Acura's compact hatchback for 2005, the sporty two-door that shares its bones with the Honda Civic. It's genuinely fun to drive, with a lively engine and a slick manual gearbox that make back roads a treat. The hatchback opens up a surprising amount of cargo space, especially with the rear seats folded flat. Some owners report interior bits wearing early, like peeling leather and broken trim pieces. Front-wheel drive and a five-speed automatic set the Base apart from the Type-S, which comes only with a manual gearbox. Its 2.0L I4 makes 160 horsepower and pairs with a five-speed automatic, giving smooth daily driving without the Type-S's peakier character. Unlike the Type-S, the Base skips the sport-tuned suspension, so the ride is a touch softer over broken pavement.
