Miles Overview
The RSX is Acura's sporty compact hatchback, a direct successor to the Integra that focuses on driving fun. The i-VTEC engine pulls eagerly to redline, and the six-speed manual in the Type-S makes every shift feel connected. The hatchback gives you surprising cargo space with the rear seats folded, though the back seat is tight for adults. Owners mention door lock actuators failing and some interior trim wear, but the drivetrain is known to be rock-solid. The Base RSX gives you the same eager hatchback body and i-VTEC character as the Type-S, but with a more affordable price and a focus on everyday comfort. Its 2.0L I4 makes 160 horsepower and pairs with a five-speed automatic for smooth daily driving, though you'll want to rev it out to feel the i-VTEC kick in. The Base trim skips the Type-S's limited-slip differential and stiffer suspension, so the ride is more compliant over rough roads.
