Miles Overview
The 2024 Forester is a compact SUV that prioritizes all-weather capability and practicality over outright style. It competes with the Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV4, and Mazda CX-5, but stands apart with standard all-wheel drive. The ride is composed and the steering is light, making the Forester easy to maneuver in town and on gravel roads. The cabin is roomy for four adults, with a tall greenhouse that provides excellent visibility in every direction. Subaru's EyeSight suite, including adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assist, is standard across the lineup. The All-Weather Package with heated front seats, heated mirrors, and a wiper de-icer sets the Premium apart from the Base trim below it. Its 2.5L I4 makes 182 horsepower and works with a CVT and standard all-wheel drive, which returns 29 mpg combined. The Premium's standard X-MODE with Hill Descent Control gives you one-mode low-speed traction, while the Sport and Wilderness add a second Snow/Dirt mode.
