Miles Overview
The 2019 Forester is a compact SUV that competes with the Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4, but it stands apart with standard all-wheel drive. The Forester handles confidently on gravel and snow, though the engine is not quick; it is built for capability, not speed. The cabin is roomy and practical, with generous cargo space and a tall seating position that gives excellent visibility. The Base+es is the smart pick if you want Subaru's standard all-wheel drive and the EyeSight safety suite without paying for the Premium trim's extra comfort features. Its 2.5L I4 makes 182 horsepower and pairs with a automatic transmission and all-wheel drive, which is enough for confident highway merging and gets an EPA-rated 29 mpg combined.
