Miles Overview
The 2016 Forester is Subaru's compact SUV, slotting between the smaller Crosstrek and the larger Outback. It competes with the Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV4, and Mazda CX-5, but stands apart with standard all-wheel drive. The Forester drives with a car-like feel, and the turbo model delivers strong acceleration when you need it. The cabin is roomy and practical, with generous cargo space and a low load floor that makes hauling gear easy. EyeSight driver assistance is available on many trims, adding adaptive cruise control and pre-collision braking. The 2.5i is the base Forester, so you skip the turbo and some comfort kit, but you keep all-wheel drive and the same roomy cabin. Its 2.5L boxer engine pairs with a six-speed automatic and all-wheel drive, giving you smooth, predictable power that's plenty for daily driving.
