Miles Overview
The Forester is Subaru's compact SUV, a practical choice for those who need space and all-weather capability. It handles confidently in snow and rain, though acceleration can feel a bit sluggish from a stop. Inside, you get a roomy cabin with a spacious trunk that swallows gear for family trips, though the interior styling is dated. Reliability is a strong point, with owners reporting few major issues, though some mention cracked windshields and minor brake wear. Standard all-wheel drive and a 2.5L I4 set the base 2.5X apart from the more powerful 2.5XT trims above it. The 2.5L I4 makes 170 horsepower and pairs with a five-speed manual, delivering 23 mpg combined.
