Miles Overview
The Forester is Subaru's compact SUV, a practical choice that competes with the Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4. It handles well for an SUV, with a tight turning radius that makes city driving and U-turns easy. Inside, there's good space for the price, with a roomy trunk and handy rear cup holders that kids appreciate. Some owners mention the ride can be a bit bumpy, and a few have had issues with windshields cracking. Its 2.5L I4 makes 170 horsepower and returns 22 mpg combined, which is reasonable for an all-wheel-drive SUV of this size. The X comes with a standard roof rail and a 60/40 split rear seat, making it easy to haul bulky gear.
