2022 Subaru Crosstrek Sport

The Crosstrek is Subaru's compact crossover, the one that splits the difference between a hatchback and an SUV. It's eager and nimble around town, with a light feel that makes it easy to park and dart through traffic. The ride is on the firm side, which is the trade for how flat it stays through corners. Inside, you get a straightforward cabin with plenty of headroom and a rear seat that folds nearly flat for cargo. A stronger engine and 17-inch dark gray wheels mark the Sport as the performance-minded pick between the base Premium and the luxury-oriented Limited. Its 2.5L I4 makes 182 horsepower and 176 lb-ft of torque, a noticeable upgrade from the base engine that makes merging onto the highway a much easier affair, and still returns 27 mpg city/34 mpg highway. The Sport also gets its own unique interior trim with yellow stitching and a water-repellent upholstery, so spills and muddy gear wipe right off.
