Miles Overview
The 2023 Crosstrek is Subaru's smallest SUV, a lifted hatchback that blends car-like manners with genuine off-road ability. It squares off against the Honda HR-V, Toyota Corolla Cross, and Mazda CX-30, but no rival matches its standard all-wheel drive. The Crosstrek's tall ride height and light steering make it easy to maneuver in town, while the suspension soaks up rough pavement with composure. Inside, the cabin is straightforward and practical, with comfortable seats, a user-friendly touchscreen, and plenty of room for four adults. The Base trim skips the Sport and Limited's 2.5-liter engine and upgraded infotainment, but it saves you thousands and still gets Subaru's standard all-wheel drive. Its 2.0L I4 makes 152 horsepower and pairs with an automatic transmission sending power to all four wheels, which is enough for daily driving and light trails. The Base rides on 17-inch steel wheels and has a simpler 6.5-inch touchscreen, so you get the Crosstrek's capability without the frills.
