Miles Overview
The 86 is Toyota's rear-drive sports coupe, a lightweight two-door that's all about driving fun rather than practicality. It's a joy to hustle down a back road, with quick steering and a chassis that communicates every bit of grip. The ride is firm and the cabin is snug, but that's the trade for a car that corners so flat and feels so connected. There's a usable trunk and fold-down rear seats, so it can handle a weekend getaway despite being a coupe. Sachs dampers, a body kit, and unique 17-inch wheels mark the TRD Special Edition apart from the standard 86. The 2.0L I4 makes 200 horsepower and pairs with a six-speed manual and rear-wheel drive, good for 24 mpg combined. The TRD-tuned suspension is firmer than the standard car's, which means even less body roll in corners.
