Miles Overview
The FR-S is Scion's rear-wheel-drive sports coupe, a joint project with Subaru that puts driving fun ahead of practicality. Its low curb weight and precise steering make it a joy on twisty roads, with a track mode that lets you hang the tail out safely. Inside, you get supportive suede-trimmed bucket seats and a clean, simple dashboard, but the rear seats are barely usable and storage is tight. A few owners mention the touchscreen radio glitching and an occasional stubborn first gear, but most report trouble-free miles. The FR-S is the only trim in the lineup, so you get the full sports coupe experience from the start: rear-wheel drive, a manual gearbox, and a limited-slip differential. Its 2.0L I4 makes 200 horsepower and pulls eagerly to redline, while the six-speed manual and rear-wheel drive keep you fully engaged; expect 25 mpg combined on the road.
