Miles Overview
The 2023 WRX is Subaru's compact sports sedan, slotting above the Impreza and taking on the Honda Civic Type R and Volkswagen Golf R. The WRX grips tenaciously in corners and delivers a punchy surge of boost, though the ride is firm and the cabin is a bit loud on coarse pavement. Inside, the WRX offers a straightforward dashboard with physical climate controls, supportive front seats, and a trunk that swallows a weekend's luggage. All 2023 WRX models come with Subaru's EyeSight driver assistance on automatic versions, while the larger 11.6-inch touchscreen is available on higher trims. The WRX has a solid reputation for durability, though the boxer engine can be prone to oil consumption if maintenance is neglected. The GT trim adds Subaru's electronically controlled dampers, Recaro front seats, and a drive-mode selector that the Limited doesn't have. Its 2.4L I4 makes 271 horsepower and pairs with an automatic transmission and all-wheel drive, returning 21 mpg combined. The adaptive dampers let you switch between comfort and a stiffer sport setting, which tightens body control without ruining the daily ride.
