Miles Overview
The 2022 Subaru WRX is a compact sports sedan that brings rally-bred all-wheel drive to the daily commute. It squares off against the Honda Civic Si, Volkswagen Golf GTI, and Hyundai Elantra N. The WRX grips hard through corners and delivers strong turbo punch, though the ride is firm and the cabin is a bit noisy. The sedan offers a practical trunk and a straightforward cabin with supportive seats, though rear space is average for the class. Subaru's EyeSight driver assistance is standard on automatic-equipped WRX models, adding adaptive cruise and lane-keeping aid. The GT is the top WRX trim, adding adaptive dampers and a more performance-oriented suspension tune over the Limited. Its 2.4L I4 makes 271 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque, routed through a six-speed automatic to all-wheel drive; it returns 21 mpg combined. The GT's adaptive dampers let you adjust the ride from comfort to firm, but the cabin still lets in more road noise than some rivals.
