2007 Subaru Forester 2 5xs

The Forester is Subaru's compact SUV, a practical wagon-like shape that competes with the Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4. It handles confidently with a tight turning radius, making it easy to maneuver in the city and on mountain roads. Inside, the cabin is simple and comfortable, with a large sunroof and plenty of room for gear when the rear seats fold down. Owners find these dependable for high mileage, though some note minor electrical gremlins and a noisy interior at highway speeds. The 2 5xs sits between the base X and the turbocharged Sports 2.5 XT, so you get a bit more equipment without the turbo's extra power. Under the hood is a naturally aspirated 2.5L I4 making 173 horsepower and 166 lb-ft of torque, paired with a five-speed manual and all-wheel drive. Fuel economy is 22 mpg combined, which is reasonable for an all-wheel-drive SUV of this size.
