Miles Overview
Inside, the Impreza offers a roomy cabin for its size, with a surprisingly large cargo area in the hatchback that makes it practical for everyday hauling. Some owners have noted minor rattles from the heat shield or A/C, and the paint can chip easily, but these are typical for this era. The WRX gives up the base Impreza's fuel economy and softer ride for a much stronger engine and sharper handling, but it still undercuts the STI by several thousand dollars. The 2.5L I4 with the five-speed manual delivers 265 horsepower to all four wheels, and the boost comes on strong enough to pin you back in the seat from 3,000 rpm.
