Miles Overview
The 2009 Impreza is Subaru's compact car, offered as a sedan or hatchback, and it competes with the Civic and Corolla. It's genuinely fun to drive, with sharp steering and a composed feel that makes it enjoyable on twisty roads. The hatchback is surprisingly roomy, with a large cargo area that folds flat for hauling big items. You give up some ride comfort versus the standard WRX, but you gain a stiffer chassis, bigger brakes, and a driver-controlled center differential for sharper handling. The STI's 2.5L I4 makes 305 horsepower and 290 lb-ft of torque, routed through a six-speed manual and all-wheel drive that give it serious grip off the line.
