Miles Overview
The Impreza is Subaru's compact car, offered as a sedan or wagon, with the sporty WRX STI at the top of the range. The cabin is roomy for a small car, with a surprisingly large trunk and folding rear seats that make it easy to haul bulky items. Owners report that these cars are dependable and inexpensive to maintain, though the AWD system can mean higher tire costs over time. The WRX gives you a 2.5-liter flat-four, a five-speed manual, and all-wheel drive, splitting the difference between the base 2.5i and the hardcore STI. With 230 horsepower and 235 lb-ft of torque from the 2.5L I4, it pulls strongly through the gears, and the five-speed manual makes it easy to keep the engine on boil.
