Miles Overview
The 2008 Impreza is Subaru's compact car, sold as both a sedan and a hatchback, with the WRX and STI versions adding serious performance. Inside, the cabin is roomier than the exterior suggests, with a surprisingly large cargo area that makes it easy to haul everything from groceries to furniture. Owners often mention the Impreza's secure handling in bad weather and its practical space, though some note the seats aren't the most comfortable on long trips. The WRX is the sweet spot for buyers who want real performance without the STI's price tag, trading the STI's adjustable center differential for a simpler all-wheel-drive system. Its 2.5L I4 makes 224 horsepower and 226 lb-ft of torque, sent through a five-speed manual to all four wheels, and it'll return 21 mpg combined. The WRX's suspension is tuned for cornering grip, so expect a firm ride that communicates the road surface clearly.
