Miles Overview
The Outlander is Mitsubishi's compact SUV, a roomy five-seater with an optional third row in some trims. It's not quick, but the ride is smooth and the steering is light, making it easy to maneuver around town. The cabin is straightforward and practical, with plenty of space for five adults and their gear. Second-row seats fold flat to open up a large cargo area, and some trims add a third row for extra passengers. Moving up to the GT gets you a bigger engine and standard all-wheel drive, while the lower trims stick with the base four and front-wheel drive. Its 3.0L I4 makes 224 horsepower and pairs with a six-speed automatic, giving the Outliner noticeably stronger highway passing power than the base model. With the GT, you also get a third row that folds flat, so you can occasionally carry six passengers and still have 61.0 cubic feet of cargo space with the second row down.
