Miles Overview
The Outlander is Mitsubishi's compact SUV, a roomy five-seater with an optional third row for occasional extra passengers. It rides smoothly, soaking up rough pavement with a composed feel that makes it easy to drive every day. The cabin is spacious for five, with a large cargo area and folding seats that make it easy to haul gear. Owners report few major problems, though some mention intermittent airbag errors and a sticky brake switch. The 3.0L V6 pairs with a six-speed automatic for smooth, responsive power, and the EPA rates it at 23 mpg combined. The GT rides on a sport-tuned suspension that firms things up a bit, so expect a slightly stiffer feel than the SEL.
