Miles Overview
The 2025 Outlander is Mitsubishi's three-row family SUV, slotting above the Eclipse Cross in size and capability. It competes with the Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV4, and Nissan Rogue, offering a third row that most rivals lack. The Outlander drives with a composed, planted feel, and its steering is light and easy for city maneuvering. Inside, the cabin is quiet and well-built, with comfortable seats and a straightforward layout that's easy to use. With three rows, the Outlander seats up to seven, though the third row is best for kids or occasional use. The ES is the base Outlander, so you skip the SE's upgraded audio and power liftgate, but you keep the same roomy three-row cabin. Its 2.5L I4 makes 181 horsepower and works with an automatic transmission driving the front-wheel drive, which returns 27 mpg combined. Expect the ES to ride a bit more softly than the SEL's sport-tuned suspension, which is fine for daily commuting.
