Miles Overview
The Outlander is Mitsubishi's compact SUV, and it's one of the few in its class that can seat seven when you fold up the third row. It rides smoothly over rough pavement, which owners say makes it a comfortable daily driver, even in construction zones. Cargo space is generous, and the rear seats fold flat to open up a large, easy-to-clean load area. Some owners report intermittent issues like a finicky key fob and occasional airbag warnings, so it's worth a thorough check. The SEL PHEV is the Outlander for buyers who want electric commuting without full EV range anxiety, and it's pricier than the gas GT but far cheaper to run on electricity. Its plug-in hybrid powertrain pairs a 2.0L I4 plug-in hybrid with all-wheel drive, giving you 22 miles of range of electric driving before the gas engine kicks in, and it returns 25 mpg combined.
