Miles Overview
The Outlander is Mitsubishi's compact SUV, a seven-seater that undercuts most rivals on price. It rides smoothly over rough pavement, which owners appreciate in construction zones. The cabin is roomy for five, with a usable third row that folds flat when you need cargo space. Some owners mention the ECO mode holds gears longer than expected, and the key fob can be finicky. The ES is the entry-level Outlander, skipping the GT's V6 and the SEL's plug-in hybrid to keep the price down. Its 2.4L I4 makes 166 horsepower and pairs with a automatic transmission and all-wheel drive, which feels adequate for daily driving and returns 26 mpg combined. You get seven seats as standard, which is rare at this price point, but the third row is tight for adults.
