Miles Overview
The Outlander Sport is Mitsubishi's compact crossover, a smaller, more affordable sibling to the Outlander and a direct rival to the Honda HR-V and Nissan Juke. It's easy to drive around town, with light steering and a ride that's on the firm side, which keeps body roll in check on curvy roads. The cabin is simple and functional, with decent front-seat space and a rear seat that folds flat to open up a generous cargo area. The SEL gives up some of the SE's on-pavement sportiness and the ES's all-weather grip for a smoother highway ride and a lower price, all with front-wheel drive. Its 2.4L I4 makes 168 horsepower and sends it through a automatic transmission to the front wheels, which nets 24 mpg combined.
