Miles Overview
The Outlander is Mitsubishi's compact SUV, a roomy five-seater with an optional third row in some trims. It's not quick, but the ride is smooth and the steering is light, making it easy to maneuver around town. The cabin is straightforward and practical, with plenty of space for five adults and their gear. Second-row seats fold flat to open up a large cargo area, and some trims add a third row for extra passengers. The SEL skips the GT's 3.0L V6 and AWD, but it still comes well equipped for thousands less. Its 2.4L I4 makes 166 horsepower and pairs with an automatic transmission to deliver smooth, unhurried acceleration. Front-wheel drive keeps the SEL lighter and more efficient than AWD trims, which is fine for dry-road duty.
