Miles Overview
The Outlander is Mitsubishi's compact SUV, a roomy five-seater that can squeeze in a third row when you need it. It rides smoothly, soaking up rough construction zones without fuss, though it's not quick when you need to merge. There's plenty of space for five and their gear, plus a power liftgate and folding seats make hauling easy. Some owners mention intermittent electrical gremlins like a finicky key fob or an airbag warning light. Power-adjustable driver's seat and heated front seats set the SEL apart from the ES below it, while the GT gets the V6 and all-wheel drive. The 2.4L I4 makes 166 horsepower and 162 lb-ft of torque, routed through a CVT to the front wheels, which nets 27 mpg combined and enough pep for daily errands.
