Miles Overview
The S60 is Volvo's compact luxury sedan, the one that goes up against the BMW 3 Series and Audi A4. It's a calm, quiet cruiser that feels more at home on the highway than on a twisty back road. The ride is smooth and the cabin stays hushed at speed, though the suspension is on the soft side and body roll shows up in corners. Inside, you get a clean Scandinavian dashboard with a large touchscreen, plus plenty of room for four adults. The T8 R-Design gets the plug-in hybrid powertrain and sporty styling cues like unique wheels and a black grille that the T6 R-Design doesn't offer. Its 2.0L I4 plug-in hybrid makes 313 horsepower and routes it through an automatic transmission to all-wheel drive, giving you a quick, quiet launch on electric power alone for about 20 miles. The R-Design trim sharpens the steering and firms up the suspension, so you trade some of the standard car's ride smoothness for flatter cornering.
