Miles Overview
The S60 is Volvo's compact luxury sedan, the one that goes up against the BMW 3 Series and Audi A4. It's a calm, quiet cruiser that feels more at home on the highway than on a twisty back road. The ride is smooth and the cabin stays hushed at speed, though the suspension is on the soft side and body roll shows up in corners. Inside, you get a clean Scandinavian dashboard with a large touchscreen, plus plenty of room for four adults. Stepping up from the T5 R-Design gets you the T6's stronger engine and standard all-wheel drive, which is the main reason to pick this one. The 2.0L I4 makes 316 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque, routed through an eight-speed automatic to all-wheel drive, so it pulls strongly from a stop and grips well in the wet. The R-Design adds a sport-tuned suspension and firmer seats, so expect a tauter ride than the Inscription's softer setup.
