Miles Overview
The 2016 Caprice is Chevrolet's full-size rear-drive sedan, built on the same platform as the Holden Commodore from Australia. With its body-on-frame construction, the Caprice feels planted and stable at highway speeds, and the steering is direct and responsive. Inside, the cabin is spacious front and rear, though the materials are basic and the design is clearly aimed at fleet use. The Caprice is known for durability, with many examples easily exceeding 150,000 miles on routine maintenance. The Police trim is the only Caprice sold in the U.S., so it's the one you get if you want this rear-drive sedan. Under the hood sits a 6.0L I8 with an automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive, giving it strong passing power and a smooth, steady cruise.
