Miles Overview
The SS is Chevrolet's full-size rear-drive sedan, a rare breed in a market full of front-drive family cars. The cabin is roomy and the trunk is huge, easily swallowing two full golf bags, but the rear seats don't fold down. A 6.2L V8 and rear-wheel drive set the SS apart from every other Chevy sedan, including the front-drive Impala and Malibu. The 6.2L I8 makes 415 horsepower and 415 lb-ft of torque, routed through a six-speed automatic to the rear wheels, and it'll return 16 mpg combined. A limited-slip differential was optional and makes a real difference putting that power down through a corner.
