Miles Overview
The X6 M is BMW's high-performance take on the coupe-styled SUV, blending the X5's practicality with a sleeker roofline and serious track capability. The ride is firm, especially in the stiffest settings, so you'll feel most bumps, but the trade-off is razor-sharp handling that rewards an enthusiastic driver. Inside, the cabin is luxurious and tech-rich, though the sloping roofline cuts into rear headroom and cargo space compared to the boxier X5. Stepping up to the Competition trim sharpens the X6 M with a higher-output version of the same 4.4L V8, plus unique chassis tuning and standard M Sport exhaust. The 4.4L V8 sends 617 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque through the eight-speed automatic and all-wheel drive, making it brutally quick in a straight line and tenacious through corners. You'll get the most out of it on a track, where the Competition's extra power and stiffer suspension settings really come alive.
