The Model S is Tesla's flagship sedan, the car that proved electric vehicles could be genuinely luxurious and fast. It drives with a low center of gravity and instant response, making it feel more agile than its size suggests. Inside, the cabin is minimalist and airy, with a huge touchscreen controlling nearly everything and a hatchback that opens to generous cargo space. The 100D gives up the Ludicrous-mode insanity of the P100D but still offers a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup that's quick enough for daily thrills. Its electric motor and all-wheel drive deliver instant torque and a 0–60 mph time in the low four-second range, with an EPA range of 335 miles that made it the longest-range Model S of the year. The 100D's battery pack is the same capacity as the P100D's, so you get the same real-world range without the higher price or the track-focused suspension tune.
