The Model 3 is Tesla's compact electric sedan, slotting below the Model S and competing directly with the BMW i4, Polestar 2, and Hyundai Ioniq 6. Instant torque and a low center of gravity give the Model 3 a planted, eager feel that makes it genuinely fun on a back road. The cabin is minimalist with a single 15-inch touchscreen controlling nearly everything, and the front seats are comfortable for long trips. Over-the-air updates bring new features and improvements, and the standard Autopilot includes adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assistance. The Performance adds 20-inch Überturbine wheels, a carbon fiber spoiler, and a sport-tuned suspension over the Long Range, plus a 3.1-second 0–60 time. Its dual-motor all-wheel drive and 315 miles of range make it both a track-day tool and a daily driver, with 113 mpg combined efficiency.
